The order of the subjects doesn't matter, so this is $^{12}C_8$ , which is the same as $^{12}C_4$ .
$^{12}C_4 = \dfrac{12 \times 11 \times 10 \times 9}{4 \times 3 \times 2 \times 1}$
$= \dfrac{11\,880}{24}$ .
That is 495, option C.
