Logarithms

Evaluate $\log_2 8 + \log_2 16 - \log_2 4$ .

Worked solution (try it first)

$2^3 = 8$ , $2^4 = 16$ and $2^2 = 4$ , so the logs are 3, 4 and 2.
So the value is $3 + 4 - 2 = 5$ , option D.
