Express $5 + \dfrac{2}{100} + \dfrac{3}{1000} + \dfrac{4}{100000}$ as a decimal number.

Write each fraction as a decimal: the number of zeros tells you the place.
$\frac{2}{100} = 0.02$ , $\frac{3}{1000} = 0.003$ and $\frac{4}{100\,000} = 0.00004$ .
