Find the median of the numbers 9, 7, 5, 2, 12, 9, 9, 2, 10, 10 and 18.

  1. Put the numbers in order: 2, 2, 5, 7, 9, 9, 9, 10, 10, 12, 18.
  2. There are 11 numbers, so the median is the 11+12=6\frac{11 + 1}{2} = 6th one.
  3. The 6th number is 9, so the median is 9, option B.
