Find the midpoint of $S(-5, 4)$ and $T(-3, -2)$ .

Worked solution (try it first)

The midpoint is the average of the ends.
$x$ : $\frac{-5 + (-3)}{2} = \frac{-8}{2} = -4$ .
$y$ : $\frac{4 + (-2)}{2} = \frac22 = 1$ .
So the midpoint is $(-4, 1)$ , option D.
