Worked solution (try it first) There are
30 + 22 + 18 = 70 30 + 22 + 18 = 70 30 + 22 + 18 = 70 medals.
Not gold means silver or bronze:
22 + 18 = 40 22 + 18 = 40 22 + 18 = 40 medals.
So the probability is
