A zero at $a$ gives a factor $x - a$ , so the factors are $(x + 2)$ , $(x + 1)$ and $(x - 3)$ .
Multiply the first two: $(x + 2)(x + 1) = x^2 + 3x + 2$ .
Multiply by $x - 3$ : $x^3 + 3x^2 + 2x - 3x^2 - 9x - 6 = x^3 - 7x - 6$ , option D.
