Logarithms

Evaluate $\dfrac{\log_3 9 - \log_2 8}{\log_3 9}$ .

Worked solution (try it first)

$3^2 = 9$ , so $\log_3 9 = 2$ .
And $2^3 = 8$ , so $\log_2 8 = 3$ .
The top is $2 - 3 = -1$ and the bottom is 2.
So the value is $-\frac12$ , option D.
