Simplify $3\sqrt{12} + 10\sqrt3 - \dfrac{6}{\sqrt3}$ .

Worked solution (try it first)

Take out the square factor: $3\sqrt{12} = 3 \times 2\sqrt3$ , which is $6\sqrt3$ .
Rationalise: $\dfrac{6}{\sqrt3} = \dfrac{6\sqrt3}{3}$ , which is $2\sqrt3$ .
