The graph of $f(x) = x^2 - 5x + 6$ crosses the $x$ -axis at the points

Worked solution (try it first)

The graph crosses the $x$ -axis where $f(x) = 0$ : $x^2 - 5x + 6 = 0$ .
Factorise: $(x - 2)(x - 3) = 0$ , so $x = 2$ or $x = 3$ .
So the points are $(2, 0)$ and $(3, 0)$ , option D.
