Calculus (JAMB bridge)

If $y = x\sin x$ , find $\dfrac{dy}{dx}$ .

Worked solution (try it first)

Product rule with $u = x$ and $v = \sin x$ : $u' = 1$ and $v' = \cos x$ .
$\frac{dy}{dx} = u'v + uv'$
$= \sin x + x\cos x$ , option B.
