Gifty, Justina and Frank shared 60 oranges in the ratio $5 : 3 : 7$ respectively. How many oranges did Justina receive?

Add the ratio: $5 + 3 + 7 = 15$ parts.
One part is $60 \div 15 = 4$ oranges.
Justina is second, so she has 3 parts: $3 \times 4 = 12$ oranges, option A.
